The hotline and directory can help adult learners and volunteers locate convenient adult literacy programs and services across Washington. They provide information about more than 100 programs throughout Washington State.
Services offered by these programs include:
- Basic skills (reading, writing, spelling and math)
- English as a Second Language (ESL)
- External Diploma Program
- GED preparation
- GED testing site
- Computer basic skills
- Family literacy
- Citizenship / civic education
- Workplace literacy and ESL
- Job readiness literacy and ESL
- Talk Time (English conversation )
What is the difference between the hotline and the directory?
The Literacy Network Of Washington Hotline phone is answered from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. For evening or weekend calls, leave a message and you will receive a call back as soon as possible.
The hotline provides referrals by phone to students and volunteers for community programs that offer one-to-one tutoring, small-group, or classroom instruction to adult learners.
The Literacy Network Of Washington Adult Literacy Directory provides information about those programs on the World Wide Web.
