Welcome to Literacy NOW
(formerly Tacoma Community House
Training Project)
In Washington State, according to the 2000 U.S. Census, 571,000 adults do not have a high school diploma and 260,000 have limited English skills. Washington's adult literacy programs develop the potential of low literate and limited English adults to meet the needs of employers, to support their families, and to help their children succeed in school.
Literacy NOW strengthens the state's adult literacy programs by providing training, resources, and information and referral. Read more about our mission here.
